We were delighted to secure Lot 1175, a colt by exciting first-season sire In The Congo, the all-the-way winner of the Group 1 Golden Rose in Sydney. The colt will be trained by Toby Edmonds and is QTIS-eligible, providing valuable access to QTIS bonuses throughout his two- and three-year-old seasons.

Out of Send Me Wild, the colt displays many of his sire’s hallmark attributes. He is a lengthy, scopey individual with an upright, athletic walk, presenting as a well-balanced, fluent mover with plenty of presence.

From a pedigree perspective, he rated an A on our breeding system, sharing the same successful cross as Group 3 winner Exotic Ruby, reinforcing the strength and consistency of the mating.

With his current physical development and natural athleticism, we expect him to be forward enough to race as a two-year-old, while possessing the scope and substance to continue improving with maturity.

Purchase Costs

1% = $1050.00 GST inc.

2.5% = $2625.00 GST inc.

5% = $5250.00 GST inc.

10% = $10500.00 GST inc.

Price includes the initial purchase price, scoping, x-rays, bloodstock fees, freight, breaking in and agistment inclusive of GST to 31st of August 2026. Also includes insurance to the value of $40000 through to 18 January 2027. From 1 September 2026, the fee will revert to LCT’s standard monthly rate, currently $50 per 1% ownership interest. This rate is reviewed annually. Our monthly fees cover all costs excluding feature race fees and extraordinary vet costs.
