Lucky Clover Thoroughbreds, in partnership with Holly Penfold and Toby Edmonds, are proud to present our newly secured Star Turn colt (Lot 201) from the 2026 Inglis Classic Sale. This colt represents everything we look for when sourcing future racehorses: strength, athleticism with proven genetics.
He will be raced as a ladies‑owned horse, unlocking additional prize money opportunities through the Inglis bonus scheme.
Importantly, the breeder has retained 15%, a strong endorsement of the colt’s quality and future potential.

⭐ About the Colt
This Star Turn colt was an immediate standout at the sale. He is a powerful, well‑balanced individual with a fluent, confident walk and the physical attributes that suggest early speed combined with the scope to develop into a high‑class three‑year‑old.
Key physical highlights include:

  • Strong shoulder and forearm, typical of the Star Turn sireline
  • Deep girth and excellent lung capacity
  • Clean, correct limbs with a purposeful, forward‑moving action
  • A strong hindquarter and athletic frame that will continue to furnish with maturity
He presents as a colt with both racing potential and long‑term stallion‑style appeal should he reach black‑type level.

⭐ Sire: Star Turn
Star Turn has firmly established himself as one of Australia’s most reliable and versatile sires. His progeny are known for:

  • Natural speed and precocity
  • Toughness and soundness
  • Professional temperaments
  • Consistent metropolitan and stakes‑level performance
He is the sire of our own Wahine Galaxy, who has shown the trademark Star Turn competitiveness and athleticism. Toby has a proven affinity with the breed, highlighted by Group performer Me Me Lagarde, further strengthening our confidence in this colt’s future.

⭐ Pedigree Strength & Genetic Cross
This colt rated an A on our internal system, reflecting both his physical quality and the strength of his pedigree match. He carries a similar breeding cross to Group 1 winner Startantes, a proven pattern that blends speed, toughness, and the ability to excel at the elite level.
The combination of proven sire power and a deep female family gives this colt every chance to develop into a high‑class racehorse with meaningful commercial upside.
