We were thrilled to secure this cracking colt for what can only be described as an absolute steal at just $10,000. Offered as the fourth lot of the day in Book 2, and coming the day after the big race when many buyers had yet to arrive, this represented a genuine value opportunity—and one we were delighted to capitalise on.
This colt marks our first purchase with exciting young trainer Jack Bruce, who has recently secured stables at Eagle Farm following a highly promising start to his training career. We asked Jack to identify horses capable of delivering early returns, and this colt was the very first standout on his list. His bloodstock agent was emphatic after inspection, stating: “Well balanced, well put together, athletic walk. A genuine 2-year-old type. I really like him.”
Importantly, the colt passed his veterinary inspection and scoping with flying colours and was rated AAA+ on our internal rating system, reinforcing our confidence in both his physical and athletic profile.

He is bred on the same Snitzel over Encosta de Lago line that produced Group 1 Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Invader, underlining the strength, speed, and early-running potential of this pedigree. Trapeze Artist enjoyed an outstanding season last year, highlighted by dual Group 3 winner Panova, a half-sister to our own Baciami, who has already shown his ability with an impressive debut performance.
